The Lundin Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Lundin Group of Companies. The Foundation invests patient capital and provides strategic grants to high potential small and medium sized businesses across Africa with a view to generating wealth and employment needed to alleviate poverty on a sustained basis. Investments are targeted in three strategic areas: Agriculture, Access to Energy and Financial inclusion. Strategic grants aim to scale innovations and strengthen management capacity of investee companies.
The Foundation uses IRIS metrics as a common platform to monitor the financial and social performance of our investment portfolio and assist in communicating our work to stakeholders. The Foundation tailors required metrics for each investee based on the nature of the business to ensure reporting requirements are relevant to the business.
