Indigenous Rights and Stewardship Practices (OI6482)

This metric is intended to describe whether and how the organization acknowledges and supports the traditional knowledge, innovations and practices of Indigenous and local communities relevant for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, and their customary use of biological resources, subject to national legislation and relevant international obligations.

This metric is based on and references Convention on Biological Diversity’s Aichi Target 18.
