Volume of potential water provided over the lifetimes of all products sold during the reporting period.
Volume of potential water provided over the lifetimes of all products sold during the reporting period.
Organizations should footnote all assumptions used.
This metric is intended to capture the total potential lifetime water produced or provided by products sold during the reporting period. For example, an organization that sells home water pumps that provide the homeowners with water should report the total water the pump can deliver over its expected lifetime.
When multiplying the water provision capacity of each product sold by Units/Volume Sold: Total (PI1263), organizations should, under Units/Volume Sold: Total (PI1263), use the absolute number of product units sold rather than the volume of water provided by the product.
